That's right, summer. It's been HOT and muggy for the last [three years] few weeks here in the city. We moved up to Santa Cruz from Charagua at the end of November, and will be here until just after New Year's. We had several objectives in doing so. First was to put together the December and January
Menno Botes (done!). Second was to staff Centro Menno while Willmar, Hannah, and family spent two weeks in a Mennonite colony for Hannah to learn Low German better. Third was to take intensive Spanish refresher classes for a week (todavía falta mucho). And fourth was to spend the Christmas holiday with MCC friends and family (though Willmar's family took off for Paraguay last night). We've been enjoying city life, but miss the tranquility and cool nights of the Chaco.
Here we are drinking tereré on a scorching afternoon.

We've been eating alot of watermelon, which is especially good with
rollkuchen, being made here.

Here's Jonathan eating
rollkuchen with two of his best friends, Kezia and Joel Heppner, who also live on the yard here at MCC. He
loooves hanging out with them.
