Luckily there is a morning custom of eating and drinking some good stuff about mid-morning. Today Eloina made some delicious baked empanadas filled with cheese, green onions, and hot peppers. Carmen mixed up some creamy hot chocolate made from a bar of raw cocoa.
And our work at Centro Menno carries on.

I definitely don't miss the rain and the damp and never getting your clothes dry.
But what I wouldn't do for an empanada and some hot chocolate if it meant we could be with all of you.
And HOW we need you to be here with us! I don't even hang up laundry on the yard anymore (just on our balcony) since there's no one to housefrau with out there. I miss you all.
