Clearing out the camera

Harvest 2015 is officially done! We're thankful that the yields were good, the weather was wonderful, all were kept safe, and the combine did not fly completely into pieces.

So while the men (eventually) clean out the machines to store them for another year, I thought I would clear out the camera. All kinds of random snapshots ahead...

First: fixing. Always fixing.

The most fun job ever.

Finishing up the Harder Schrock crop, and the last picnic in Delft.

Look who we found at the Windom elevator (and he wasn't even driving that old green truck!).

But wait, is that a POP in his hand??

Moving between fields in Ewertland.

Anna's birthday came in the middle of harvest, as usual. Here she displays her dream gifts from Oma,

and out with those four candles!

Finishing up at the home place.

On to jack-o-lanterns and lovely fall afternoons.

Here they are engrossed in their activity books from Grandma Schrock. I can't even tell you how much time has been spent with these.

We had some weekend guests from Nebraska: Jen and Nate Kauffman and family. Such a good time! I met them (sans kids) while we were all working with MCC in Eastern Europe in early 2000s and thankfully we've kept in touch.

And here are some outtakes from our "Christmas family photo" - a super high-tech, high-stakes, professional affair.

By which I mean the opposite of all that.

My cheap little canon doesn't even have a screen shot of the picture anymore, so it's a bit like taking pictures in the dark. But even the kids can do it...

So silly.

So disgusted.

So four.
