(Grand)parents Harder visit

My folks arrived mid-February for a good long visit - and to see Jonathan for the first time! They bravely took the bus down from Charagua on their second day in-country, and were with us in Charagua for the first week. During that time we had some great visits with our Durango Colony friends, saw some project sites, and closed up our Charagua life. They then helped us move to Santa Cruz, where we will be living and working for the final two years of our (extended) MCC term - more on that in a future post. Here are a few snapshots of their visit:

The Santa Cruz-Charagua bus makes a pit stop.

Mom cutting up a colony watermelon to go with the rollkuchen.

Eating suppers outside on our patio.

Mom with Jonathan in front of the Charagua MCC center (and our home).

Mom butchering a chicken in about two minutes flat - given to us by a neighbor moments before moving to Santa Cruz.

Jonathan with Opa.

Planning for the post-MCC future...
