Two months

Yesterday our baby turned two months old! Anna now spends long periods awake, looking all around with huge eyes, smiling easily, and cooing like a happy little bird. This isn't to say that she's always happy...when we leave her even for a moment, even when she seems to be dozing, we soon hear about it. Her daytime naps still aren't entirely predictable, but she loves sleeping outside in the hammock, on our balcony (as she is now).

So, Ramont took apart the car seat swing featured a few posts back and made a baby hammock holder. It's still being tweaked, but it will hopefully allow me to do a few more things with both hands throughout the day.

Jonathan's new favorite thing to do with Anna is, in a rather accurate mimic of mama, put his arms around her as though to lift her, and say in a sweet voice, "come." As I've probably written before, he is increasingly serving as a mirror of our own actions and words. Humorous and humbling, it is.

More new photos in the Jonathan and Anna albums to the right.
