Grandparents Schrock visit

Ramont's folks visited us for almost a week (!!). We Harder Schrocks all enjoyed it very much and were sad to see them travel on last week. Anna, in particular, enjoyed their visit.

What a colossal understatement! She soaked up every minute with Grandma Schrock. Those two are like two peas in a pod.

Grandma Schrock came prepared. She led school almost all day Saturday, beginning at 7.30am. Anna got an activity book that she diligently worked through (and still uses), Jonathan got alphabet flash cards, and both got lots of attention and school fun. There was book learning, recess, snack, rest time, and much more. Jonathan went back to "real" school on Monday, while Anna got to continue school at home. My favorite was walking into the living room to see Grandma Schrock helping Anna do push-ups on the coffee table.

The week pretty much confirmed what we already suspected: Anna will do quite well when she (finally) gets to go to school.

Jonathan pretty quickly learned the entire alphabet.

[These two pictures are pretty funny in quick succession, if you can toggle between them.]

As usual I didn't take enough pictures of their visit. Partly because we didn't do anything too much out of the ordinary: Ramont's dad spent much of the time with him driving truck or combine, Lorene and Anna played school, Jonathan was at school, and I made a few meals and...[?]. But these are the kinds of family visits I love most.
