Kindergarten snapshots

We don't see much of Jonathan these weeks, since he's in school all day (7:00am till 3:30pm). This also means he's not in so many pictures any more. But thanks to his teacher, Mrs. James, we can see a bit of what he's up to when she posts pictures on a private facebook group.

So here are a few of his class and him. First, the ever-consuming pumpkin patch. Jonathan is in the first row, second from left (above) and third from left (below).

These next ones are from fire safety week. Let's just say that we heard a bit about the fire hose experience.

These two were picked to hold the kindergarten sign for the elementary pep rally during Homecoming week.

[Jonathan's team, always, is John Deere.]

Back to the pumpkin patch, I guess.

Back in the days before harvest, Anna and I set up the terere and snack and waited for him to jump off the bus and run home excitedly. It's a fun time to hear about his day, grill him about what he ate, and go through the papers in his folder (so. many. papers.).

He does seem to be enjoying the school experience, for which we're very grateful.
