At the beginning of April, we were fortunate to have Ramont's sister and her family visit us for almost two weeks - Ranene, Joseph, Josiah, and Noelle Ropp from Lethbridge, Alberta. Josiah and Noelle were really great playmates and big cousins to Jonathan, as you can see below. Speaking as a non-Schrock, I was astounded by how many table games got played during their visit. Thanks for coming!
In between trips to Charagua to continue the transition to new workers there, Ramont took a day to visit the farm of our co-worker, Patrocinio Giravazu. He grows peanuts, citrus fruits, and a few other items on his plot just outside the city. Here are Patro and Ramont with Maria, Nathan, and Jesse Longenecker.
My brother Willmar turned 36 this month, so we helped out a bit by fortifying his diet with Vitamin D.
Easter was on the same day, 24 April. Together with Willmar, Hannah, and the boys, we attended the Easter mass at the main Santa Cruz cathedral.
Here in the city we generally attend Sinai Mennonite Church. They recently held a baptism for eight new believers. It was part of a day-long church outing just outside the city, which we attended.
And I can't sign off without just a few photos of our cute little guy. Here he is out on the balcony,
looking in - doors and lids are quite simply his favorite things.
And when he has to deal with his non-favorite things, out comes the lower lip.
