Three mornings a week I bring Jonathan to town for preschool. Most days I pick him up three hours later, so occasionally Anna and I stay in town for the duration. Lately this has been a good time to practice organ. Since Anna is so patient during those hours (what better place to play than a gigantic, empty church?!), I decided I could be patient while she played in the park one morning.
Of course she had lots of fun.
Yesterday we joined our local ECFE group on a field trip to the Children's Museum of Southern Museum in Mankato. We also went two years ago, though now they're in a new building. The place is still under construction, but the finished exhibits (i.e. play areas) were pretty great. It promises to be even better by the grand opening in May.
I didn't take any pictures of the actual playing, but here we are having our sack lunches.
In fact, the sack lunches and the bus ride were the most anticipated parts of the whole day.
The bus ride pretty much lived up to the hype.
And here's a snapshot of Jonathan's very first school portrait. We had heard all about how they made him stand all cool and casual, and I'm so amused with how it makes him look like a mini-man.
[No, we didn't buy it and no, I won't make copies of it.]
The big news around our yard (besides the almost-ready milk machine) is the tire swing.
Sooo much fun.
