Here we go

Today was the first day of spring planting. Kind of. We've already done some garden planting, and the "real" planting of corn and soybeans hasn't started yet.

But today Ramont planted alfalfa in a number of little fields. Very exciting! As he said, we'll be spending a lot of time (mowing, raking, and baling) in these fields for the next few years.

That's ok with us, as it has some pretty great picnic spots. Today, which was ferociously windy, we found this lovely sheltered spot.
